Johnson’s natural calmness is infectious. With ten years of experience working in crisis response services, Johnson has honed the skills necessary for living healthily in spite of difficult circumstances. When people visit him they leave feeling hopeful and renewed. From a solution-focused point of view, he believes that people in crisis are capable of finding their way to new perspectives and healthy ways of living, but they often need help in the process.

Although adversities are inevitably part of life and it is our natural response to avoid hardships, Johnson is convinced that the unexpected benefits of hardships are enormous and worth going through. He is a believer in the common saying “what will not kill you will make you stronger.” He understands the importance of staying calm in the midst of hardships, since this is where learning and growth take place.

While Johnson is a solution-oriented therapist, he also understands the complexities of human challenges; hence, he embraces various strength-based approaches in his practice to meet the needs of clients no matter what their struggles are. Johnson believes that individuals are experts in their own lives and that they are resourceful, competent and have strengths. Therapy helps explore these facets and build a person up to their potential.
